Board Member-Sarah Eckman

Sarah is a former firefighter and paramedic with 20 years of service in Michigan, Sarah brings a strong foundation of leadership and dedication to her endeavors. She is also proud to have three children currently serving in the military, continuing her family’s legacy of service.

An active leader in her community, Sarah serves on the boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Montana Chapter, the Black Eagle Fire Department, and Rural Dynamics, Inc. She is also the Chairwoman of the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Alliance, where she organizes and frequently teaches professional development classes for nonprofit leaders.

With extensive expertise in donor development, event planning, grant writing, fundraising, and community service, Sarah is deeply committed to advancing impactful missions. She is especially passionate about her work with Impact Montana, where she contributes to helping service members, veterans, first responders, and their families define their purpose, connect with resources, and strive toward their values.

Sarah joined NeighborWorks Great Falls as the Development Coordinator in September 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and community engagement. Before assuming this role, she held positions in Admissions and Marketing at IVY of Great Falls and served as the Development Coordinator for the United Way of the Lewis & Clark Area. In fall 2023, Sarah relocated to Black Eagle, Montana, where she continues to make a significant impact through her professional and volunteer roles.
