Board Member-Joe Piemonte
Joe Piemonte and his wife Tami, both USAF veterans, are happy to call Montana home, again! They served together at Malmstrom AFB in the mid 90’s, where they fell in love with everything about the state and dreamed of coming back some day. After 25 years away they moved back to Helena in 2023 and made it their forever home!
Joe is the owner and CEO of Interim HealthCare of Central Montana, which provides home health care services from the Highline to Butte. He’s originally from Western Pennsylvania, and has a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology, and a master’s degree in health administration.
After 6 ½ years in the Air Force Medical Services Corps, which included implementing the Tricare program here in Montana, Joe spent most of his career in the managed care industry serving in various director and vice president roles. His inspiration to start a home health agency was his hero and great uncle, a WWII veteran who flew 51 combat missions over Nazi-occupied Europe as a waist gunner in a B17 bomber. During the last few years of his nearly 101-year life, his uncle received home healthcare services allowing him to continue to live independently and avoid ever having to go into a nursing home. Today 80% of the patients that Joe’s agency provides services to are veterans. His mission is to continue to reach out to rural and under-served areas, providing veterans and other members of the community access to quality care in their homes.
Serving as a board member of Impact Montana provides Joe a unique opportunity to serve Montana’s Warriors – service members, fellow veterans, first responders and their families – applying the skills and experience of a 30+ year career in a meaningful way to give back to those who have sacrificed and served our community.
Outside of work Joe enjoys virtually anything outdoors – including fly fishing, boating, hunting, hiking, and four wheeling in the mountains in his side-by-side.
