Board President-Gary Brewer
Gary Brewer calls Montana home having lived here since his parents moved to the state in 1976. Gary went to school at Montana State University, where he graduated with a History degree and a 2LT commission from the Army in 1994.
Since graduating with the commission, over the next 28 years he served with many of the Army Reserve units in Montana , deploying five times in support of the Global War on Terror.
As a civilian, Gary has worked for the state government in various capacities since 2007. Prior to that he worked for a software company in Bozeman for 7 years.
Gary serves on the Impact Montana board because of its focus on family members of those who serve. In three of the five deployments during Gary’s service he was attached to units on the East Coast, Texas and New Mexico, while his family was still at home in Montana. There was no Family Support/Readiness Group available for them, so IM's inclusion of families was a motivating factor to become a part of an organization that also supports family members of those who serve.
